Buying Tips

While you buy a diamond engagement ring or perfect diamond jewellery, you need to take care of a few things when it comes to clarity of a diamond and how it affects the price.

  1. It doesn’t matter if you want to buy a diamond with a flaw. This is because small inclusions and blemishes do not make them look less attractive, instead, they make them look unique. So you can go for a diamond with a flaw if you are tight on budget.
  2. If you want to buy affordable yet alluring diamonds, then go for SI or VS clarity grade diamonds. That way, you can get eye clean diamonds which are much less expensive than the FL or IF ones.
  3. Remember, a diamond’s shape and size also affect its clarity. Diamonds which are wide in shape have more transparency and their inclusions are more visible. Whereas diamonds which are round, oval, princess, pear, etc. have less transparency and does not require high clarity grade as they naturally hide their inclusions. With an increase in diamond size, there comes an increase in inclusions visibility too.
